Out Of The Ordinary

I must say, I do find it odd that BO can react in an instant , over a magazine article, and then, with the wave of his hand, bring, General McChrystal home for a tongue lashing, but when there is a national crisis such as the oil spill he takes 55 days to meet with the CEO of bp to give him a tongue lashing...

However I also found it odd, when McChrystal was requesting more troops, it took nearly 3 months for a response from the president.

Word of the day: incompetent

I find it odd that BO will react immediately to the earthquake crisis in Haiti but it takes 55 days for any reaction from him regarding the devastation of the entire gulf coast and I don't mean just the environment. I mean lifestyles altered. And really, what kind of a lifestyle does a fisherman really have. I have never met a fisherman that lived in a 5,000 sq ft home or drove a Mercedes... Who knows how long it will take for the Oysters, Clams, Shrimp, Crawdads, Muscles and Scallops to come back, not to mention the fish.

I also find it odd that Hollywood is conspicuously absent. Where are the celebrities who sent millions of money to Haiti and yet can't muster a dime for the people in Tennessee who lost everything in the rain and floods. Where are they during this gulf crisis. I haven't even heard of any celebrities going to the gulf to offer moral support much less money. If the oil should make it's way to Mexico, (after all they also border the Gulf of Mexico) will we see them then?

I also find it odd that such a huge deal is being made about the CEO of bp going sailing, yet barely is mention made of BO's attendance at a baseball game and Golf outing. Get over it...it's the grunts who do the real work. How many times do we drive down the road and see 4 or 5 guys gathered around a little fella, digging a hole? Every day. Tony Haywood, who wants his life back, and President O finally doing something constructive, getting out of the way.
